Our Lady of Perpetual Help Highlands,
New Jersey
Dear Friends: In 2008, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish celebrates 125 years of serving the people of God in Highlands. Over the years, thousands of people have been baptized, come to understand the forgiveness of Jesus through Reconciliation, received Jesus in the Eucharist, the gift of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation, celebrated God's love in the sacrament of Marriage, and gone home to meet Jesus surrounded with the prayers of loved ones in a funeral Mass. The goal of our parish has always been to draw people to Jesus in the 2000 year old tradition of their Catholic Faith by a basic call to holiness. The development of personal prayer and the living of our faith is why our parish is the 6th oldest in the Diocese of Trenton. Our parish is known as "The Jewel by the Sea" and some might think it is the bricks, stained glass windows, and beautiful altars and pews are what make us "church." When Saint Paul wrote to places like Corinth, Rome and Galatia, he was writing to the Church, the people of those places. What makes us the "Jewel by the Sea" is the 125 years of devoted people living their Catholic faith in service to God and the people of Highlands. It is our goal that through this website people will understand the love of Jesus at work through our parish family of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and seek to become closer to Jesus through the living of their Catholic faith.
