Polar Plunge
January 13, 2008
Today, on the cold, sandy shores of Ichabod's Bar & Grill in Sea Bright, Fr. Bob put to rest the skepticism that had surrounded him for weeks: will he take the plunge??
Well, take a look!
The Ancient Order of Hibernians, a Monmouth County-based Irish-American service organization, sponsored this Polar Plunge to support Catholic education. Mrs. Molloy from Mother Teresa Regional School and Fr. Bob took advantage of this opportunity to raise funds for the school's annual fund, which helps with tuition assistance for students who attend the school.
Blood Drive
January 12, 2008

Michelle Huff and Roberta Pandolfo (Blood Drive Coordinators) with Fr. Francis
Members of St. Raphael Ministry sponsored the parish's first Blood Drive on January 12, 2008. The Blood Center of New Jersey, located in South Orange, set up the drive, along with the help of blood drive coordinator, Michelle Huff, and St. Raphael volunteers and Parish Council members. Our parish goal was expected to be only 30 units; however, with your support, we were able to come in at 42 units! The Blood Center was amazed and impressed and asked to come again to do another drive.
We also had a dozen walk-ins, donors who drove by and saw the lawn sign, or had read about it in the papers and wanted to give.
This was much more than any of us ever expected, but we knew OLPH could do it! Without your support and loyalty to helping those in need, this could not have been a successful endeavor.
We truly appreciate and admire your efforts.
