Rosary Altar Society

Ministry Profile:  To encourage devotion to the Blessed Mother through the Rosary; also includes care of the sacristy and sanctuary areas of the church, cleaning and care of the altar, washing linens, etc.

The Rosary Altar Society is a spiritual association with a devotion to the Blessed Mother through the recitation of the Rosary.  The Society was instituted so that the faithful may praise and honor the Blessed Virgin and secure her patronage.  Many societies have increased their devotion to Our Lady by sustaining the beauty of the church altar by maintaining the altar linens and coordinating the weekly flowers on the altar. 

Other activities include:

·        praying for the sick and deceased members of our parish community

·        sending greeting cards to the sick and visiting shut-ins of our parish

·        creating a Rosary Society Memorial Fund

·        sponsoring retreats for women of the parish

·        sponsoring spiritual growth opportunities (retreats, May Crowning)

·        during Baptisms, presenting a Christening blanket and rosary to the mother of the newly baptized baby
